CHEREAU – Refrigerated vehicles – Our semi-trailers adapted to sea/road transport
Sea / rail body
INTRODUCTION
Combined sea/road transport, or RORO (Roll on / Roll off) calls for equipment that can be used on ferries. It must be easy to couple and uncouple and have sufficient ground clearance to use the vessel’s access ramps. It must also be easy to secure it in the hold and allow the refrigeration unit to run on electricity.
FERRY-C
Ferry-C is a chassis-body unit which can be used for both sea and road transport. The Chassis-C Special Refrigeration Chassis is modified with a broad coupling plate (surface- or recess-mounted) making it easier to couple and uncouple the tractor unit. The suspension travel of the running gear is limited to avoid the suspension cushions being sheared off when there are major height differences. The landing gear is fitted with roller feet to compensate for the stresses caused by coupling and uncoupling on the fly. The 2 x 4 external lashing points comply with standard ISO 9367, allowing the semi-trailer to be secured in the hold. The bolted, galvanised rear underrun protection bar is higher, with two protection shoes. The chassis structure is designed to prevent illegal immigrants from gaining access. The body offers all the advantages of the INOGAM Evo model and is suitable for all types of load.
FLEX-C LED
A retracting light bracket avoiding damage to the lights in case of rear impacts.
Further informationTANK SECURITY
The CHEREAU tank has a capacity of 250 litres and allows a pallet carrier to be fitted.
It can be filled from both sides, right or left. It is protected by a lockable cap and an anti-siphoning device as standard. The direct reading gauge is fitted on the left side (or right side as an option). An electric fuel level measuring device can also be fitted.
AIREFFICIENT-C
This ventilation duct system, developed by CHEREAU, enables the same temperature to be maintained throughout the entire body to the nearest degree and cools down the walls quicker. It optimises the performance of the refrigeration unit.
MULTI-ENERGY COOLING SOLUTIONS
CHEREAU has mastered all the existing technologies, from standard diesel refrigeration units to gas, hybrid or 100% electric units.
