I joined CHEREAU four years ago following an assignment for the ROAD project, carried out in collaboration with the Arts et Métiers research laboratory, as part of my doctorate.

CHEREAU is an attractive company for an engineer, as it is an innovator and pioneer in many new energy sources: hydrogen, solar power, etc.. What’s more, CHEREAU offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of large-scale projects, with real technological diversity.

In addition, CHEREAU is constantly developing solutions that respect the environment, and this is a value that strongly links us. The company has also enabled me to progress to a managerial position in the Mechanical and Materials Research Department.

I joined CHEREAU in 1991 as a welder. I never thought I’d stay, but here I am 30 years later.

I was promoted to team leader in 2007 and, following a change in the internal organization, I was appointed technical expert, which enabled me to be closer to the field.

What encouraged me to continue my career with the company was the diversity of skills and know-how, and the participation in various working groups.
During my career, I’ve also had the chance to pass on my expertise to new colleagues.

CHEREAU has been able to support me throughout my career through internal and external training, enabling me to develop my skills.
Since I joined the company, I’ve seen considerable progress, particularly in terms of ergonomics and safety. I’ve also seen innovation, with the development of new products, which makes for a non-routine job.
